Terre des hommes (uk)

South Sudan

As a result of the civil war in South Sudan and even though a peace agreement was signed, seven million people or about two thirds of the population are in dire need of humanitarian assistance and protection in 2019. The years of conflict, looting and destruction of livelihood also led to two million internally displaced people within the country, which remains in the grip of a serious humanitarian crisis. The teams of Terre des hommes (Tdh) supply families with basic necessities and help them increase the local food production. Children benefit from a food project in schools and are offered safe areas where they can play, learn and get psychosocial help.
