Egypt is hosting refugees and asylum seekers from more than 60 countries including Syria, Sudan, Eritrea and Iraq. These people live in precarious conditions and their children suffer from the effects of forced displacement. Tensions between refugees and host communities are common and many children are at risk of exploitation and violence. Terre des hommes provides them with psychosocial assistance and protection. We also support young people in contact and conflict with the law through trainings of formal and informal justice actors and community based protection services.
